After a chance accident binds them together, the two form a forbidden emotional and professional alliance that exposes the everyday violence of apartheid’s bureaucracy. As police scrutiny, pass laws, and social consequences close in, both are forced to confront the cost of compassion, the danger of crossing invisible borders, and the moral courage required to survive inside an unjust regime.
